Energy is a track off his surprise mixtape, ‘If Your Reading This Its Too Late’; which released on his five year anniversary of releasing his famous mixtape So Far Gone. This music video was initially published on Apple music, as Drake and Apple have agreed to put content on Apple Music (Apple’s new streaming app) than competitors such as, Spotify and Tidal. In this music video Drake portrays an array of influential and criticized celebrities such as, Leonardo DiCaprio, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Opera, Kanye West, LeBron James, Floy Money’ Mayweather, President Barack Obama and his young self. The reason for portraying all these famous people, and showing his young self is because of the hook “I got enemies, got a lot of enemies. Got a lot of people tryna drain me of my energy. They tryna take the wave from a ni—a. F--kin’ with the kid and pray for your ni—a”. Drake is saying that there’s a lot of haters out here in these streets, and they want to see us not succeed; wishing they could live our lives.

Now, the young Aubrey “Drake” Graham in the beginning video is shown getting bothered by a couple of bullies, and seen laying on the ground. Then the camera turns to present Drake rapping “I got enemies, got a lot of enemies” at a young age he was bullied because he was different than everyone else in his neighborhood and school. He is half Jewish and African American, and in his neighborhood they weren’t accustomed to seeing this; which created enemies because he was unique from everyone else in his neighborhood. Drake raps “I got girls in real life tryna fuck up my day. Fuck goin’ online, that ain’t part of my day”. He was accused of trying to talk to Porn Star Mia Khalifa; as his fame increased a lot of lower level celebrities want to gain fame. 

Meaning/Explanation: One Man Can Change The World by Big Sean

This track was published on Big Sean’s official YouTube account; after his album ‘Dark Sky Paradise’ was released on February 24^, 2015. Big Sean is signed to GOODMusic a label owned by Kanye West; who was featured on the track alongside John Legend. Video begins with Big Sean sitting in the backseat of a car that has no wheels, and held by bricks where a little child appears, when the camera zooms out. Video continues with the child from his bedroom window seeing his older brother doing drugs, and then goes on to show bullets on the ground. Next scene is at a funeral home, where loved ones mourn the death of the brother.

 Big Sean raps “My grandma told me, If you write your name in stone. You'll never get the white out" his grandmother’s advice is make a legacy that cannot be written over. Now as the video goes on you start to realize the hook “I hope you learn to make it on your own. And if you love yourself just know you'll never be alone”, is a message to listeners who are striving to make their dreams come to a reality. You will have doubts creep into your mind, but don’t feel afraid to ask for help from your loved ones, or from people who are experiencing identical behaviors. Also, the child portrays us the listeners in the video, he will have to learn on how to make it on his own (Achieve his dream) without guidance from his older brother.

Now the meaning of “One Man Can Change The World” stats that if one man can change one thing in the world, then any one man can change another part of the world. This track was published on The Weeknd’s official YouTube account a couple days prior to his album ‘Beauty Behind The Madness’ release; promoting his album to listeners with a new single. The video begins with The Weeknd burying himself; possibly burying his old self from his previous album ‘Kiss Land’ which was more of a dark sided album. During the video he pulls out his pistol and shoots an elder gentlemen who has a creepy look; he also appeared in the music video called Can’t Feel My Face where he was seen sitting at a table while The Weeknd performed. Now this seems as the elder gentlemen is a part of The Weeknd’s story for this album, or maybe for just those two tracks. As well, The Weeknd sings “I'm a villain in my city, I just made another killin'” referring to that he believes this album is also a great album like his previous two ‘Trilogy’ and ‘Kiss Land’. He also sings “Drivin' by the streets I used to walk through. When I had no crib, I guess you call that sh*t a miracle” he compares his old days as a struggling singer to his recent success as a mainstream artist. In addition, during the music video another part of a track plays called ‘Real Life’ where he walks to his vehicle singing “I'll be the same, never changed for nothin'. It's all I know, never learned much more” meaning that even though with his recent success he won’t leave his hometown Toronto, Canada for any other city.
